Reblogging for the Jarrahdale.
I’ve reblogged this before, and I’ll reblog it again. Beautiful pumpkins!
Jarrahdale is both beautiful and tasty, in a vegetal way, but have you eaten a Long Island Cheese pumpkin? For pie/bread/etc, they’ve my favorite. Though, to be fair, I have not eaten most of these varieties. I aspire to eat a Rouge Vif d’Etampes – hell, I aspire to grow them, too, but what would I ever do with more than one of those??
I love all of these!! It’s the damn stem borers that we struggle with here, in addition to our groundhog. When we lived in GA we used to visit Burt’s Pumpkin Farm, where I picked up some Jarrahdale, but lord knows they were not grown using organic methods.
