Plant people! What is this?!
I found it at the garden shop in a neglected corner. The employees didn’t recognize it and can’t tell me what it is. The only thing written on it is “SALE” but no price is listed.
That’s some type of Kalanchoe, but I’ve never seen pipe-shaped fruiting bodies on a Kalanchoe before.
Well, it’s mine now. How could I not buy the freaky mystery plant?
Anyone have any care tips for Morticia…? I’d like to keep her alive and get her healthy again. If she develops a taste for human blood, well, I’ll just sneak into a neo-nazi rally and let her gorge herself.

What in the- Morticia is quite the oddity of a Kalanchoe! Either it’s an obscure cultivar or otherwise the unusual foliage is simply just foliage distorted from the stress it appears to have had while under the care of the store (which would make sense since it’s only on the new foliage does it seem to be exhibiting this). Most Kalanchoes being succulents do not mind a bit of dry out between waterings, though since this seems to lean on the more K. blossfeldiana kind of Kalanchoe in appearance I’d say it should still not be given “neglectful” lengths of dry out and still be watered when need be. Also Kalanchoes in general are sun guzzlers, especially indoors; more sun is better, though outdoors shade is not necessarily a bad thing either.
That’s my 2 cents on it. The more cacti/succulent specialized please throw in your own cents as well on this odd child of a Kalanchoe!
