Just been reminded of one of many things I’ve yet to successfully draw/illustrate that I’ve so badly wanted to succeed in drawing for Hoepian stuff… The intermediate form that Kabakin Jungle earth dragons are able to turn to.

As the name implies it’s an intermediate form between human form and dragon form, only thing is that due to the fact that one should not normally be able to go into an intermediate form, it’s somewhat a monstrous form that gives that uncanny vibe that makes you feel “fucking nope”.

Only thing I can really compare it to for that monstrosity and feeling is the first two times Chopper from One Piece presented his Monster Point form (probably the comparison came up because earth dragons also have antlers)

Don’t lie, it definitely gave you that uncanny feeling.

large, uncanny, powerful, intimidating, I really want to emulate a similar feeling. Might be difficult as earth dragons have bark-like scales rather than fur, and have serrated teeth rather than human/deer-like teeth but, idk, I really want to nail that similar feeling nonetheless.

Personal note-to-self as I go to bed; while I do have lore on it I really need to work more on the biological/physical mechanics which is the Demon Rose plant in Hoepian lore.

Despite the fact that I failed at the opportunity of mermay I at least got lucky on developing some more thoughts/ideas on Hoepian Mermaids….

Y’know I was originally thinking the First FallenSlayer x Thunderdon magic interaction would be all casually like at the bar or something and they’d be all “hey this could lead to something handy”, but now I’d find it much more amusing / semi-cool if it were from a more of an epic but sloppy in-battle impulsive crazy moment that came from a crazy interaction like-

FallenSlayer(FS):*out of magic*”welp I’m about of juice”*sees Thunderdon(TD) fighting Fallenbeasts and gets an idea*

FS:*lands on TS*”hey bighorns”

TD:”huh?”

FS:”Volt me, shock me with all the electricity you can muster.”

TD:”ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY-”

FS:”JUST SHUT UP AND ZAP ME!”

TD:”I’M HERE ZAPPING FALLENBEASTS AND YOU WANT ME TO ZAP YOU INSTEAD?! ARE YOU MAD WOMAN-”

FS:*grabbing and just about yanking TS’s antlers off at this point*”JUST SHOCK ME UP YOU WUSS”
