can someone please explain to me what the heck is going on here
My jade plant (who you may know) has been getting some blemishes on the leaves (maybe due to too much sun? not really sure), which I wasn’t really worried about, and then I noticed a new plant Growing From the Spot????
like okay, I know about meristems and shit but no one told me they were allowed to be in the middle of a leaf??? If you know anything about this or have seen it before please let me know, otherwise I will assume I am cultivating an alien being.
Oh neat!! I’ve never seen this happen with a jade. I have a Snake Plant that this is happening to though.
A new shoot started growing from this split in a damaged lower leaf.
But it’s odd to happen to a jade in this way because leaf props generally only put out pups from where the leaf meats the stem and will not put out a pup from a partial leaf if removed from the plant.
