Huisache (Vachellia farnesiana) in full bloom.
Arisaema ringens. Can’t take any credit for this as it was shipped to me in bloom. I haven’t tried to grow this genus before, so it’s nice to start out with a flower! We’ll have to see how it does in our summer heat.
Pereskia grandiflora and Echinopsis grandiflora (huascha? idek at this point).
Texas baby blue eyes (Nemophila phacelioides), winecup (Callirhoe involucrata), coral honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens), and tenpetal anemone (Anemone berlandieri).
A red admiral (Vanessa atalanta) on Mexican plum (Prunus mexicana).
Mexican gold poppy (Eschscholzia californica ssp. mexicana).

I suspect Monstera dubia!

The Portuguese squill (Scilla peruviana) is starting to open its flowers. I got some Scilla maderensis bulbs too, but the inflorescences on that seem to have died off, from the cold or the rain or both. Next year I may keep it indoors, now that we have lights set up in the guest room and can keep the pets away from them. All Scilla contain toxic cardiac glycosides and should not be left accessible to unsupervised animals or young children.
A handsome Hypselonotus punctiventris on Mexican plum (Prunus mexicana).
