This is one charismatic hypertufa planter. It’s by one of the paths through the rock garden into the rose gardens of Cuddy Gardens.
Look at those silver fractal-variegated leaves on the one plant!

Did an entire thread on twitter about repotting many of the houseplants (mainly the cacti/succulents) into larger (and mainly clay) flowerpots. The clay is key as the soil mix they’ve been put in is a bit more moisture retentive than I’d prefer for cacti. My Ferocactus I’m most proud of for their how much bigger they are from when they were little itty bitty seedings ;v; I need to make a knew before/after post for how much the Ferocacti grew. The one Echinopsis lost its rootball to probably rot so hopefully it’ll reroot in its new planter.
So many more houseplants need repotting before winter comes around the corner (Christmas Cacti, Pothos, Clivia, Dracanea to name the majority), its just getting around to the mess.
I felt such a temptation to get these cacti and succulents to add to the collection but… on a self-ban until my current collection thrives and/or I get more free growing space. Oh well; next time.
Schlumbergera truncata and Clivia minata did a rush of floral growth since their new room finally got heating for the winter. Funnily the S. truncatas I have began their flower openings around American Thanksgiving (making them for once live up to their common name of Thanksgiving Cactus, normally mine bloom around January), though the yellow flowered form took the lead/show of them all. Sadly there will not be any red Schlumbergera flowers this year as it was one of the few plants that perished from the previous neglect drought. I’m going to have to keep track of what other floral forms have perished before I begin to replace them. I’m nonetheless happy that at least the yellow form is doing well, especially when you consider the fact that it was once considered a far less vigorous colour form/hybrid in the indoor garden market.
