rambling – Page 6 – Kihaku-Gato's Garden Blog (tumblr import)

Covering the story plothole that is Saka thanks to a friend helping discover not only motivation for her villainy, but also giving her character (through her origins) significant dark tragedy to make her more than just a purely destroy-the-world shallow villain. It’s so good that I have to take notes on cause its just THAT good to not want to forget for when I eventually can write her in the story.

Friend: Explain Hoep’s magic to me.

Me: *writes a bloody essay explaining Hoep’s magic*

Friend: Okay, so how are you gonna explain/show this magic system to the readers w/o exposition/infodumping?

Me: …..

Honestly if this IS the legitimate site and not some trick…. even if the seed is old… I HAVE to at least order Clematis occidentalis seeds.

Due to its rarity as a native plant in stock I HAVE to try to get some plants for here. I am willing to take the chance for that species alone.

On the one hand I should chill / calm down now.

On the other hand-

Rage towards my gender, society, and hypersexuality born from society is a very very difficult emotion to restrain on rough days.

God I miss the days of living in the city when I was in college; I could just hop on a bus and go wherever I wanted.

Could eat out, could go to the anime store, plant sections at stores, just have a bus trip around for the day. Maybe even visit friends in the city. Rural life just does not have such luxuries….

Two things I’m weak against in outfits of deadly ladies (with or w/o armour); Shoulder padding/pads, and capes (or cape-like clothing/coats).

Even now I still can’t get over that one drawing (or was it multiple drawings, icr my memory be slipping) of Nat’s where she drew Mia Hawke with her shirt open and chest exposed. Like, the drawing doesn’t even look/feel sexual at all despite that but also it just EMANATES a gorgeous raw power/presence. It makes Mia look so beautiful and powerful and just slays.

If there was an artistic goal for me (when my abilities are back to snuff), it’d be to draw certain OCs of my own with their chests naked and exposed, and emanating that same powerful raw non-sexual energy. It’s just, beautiful, how does such powerful beauty in an art exist…

While I understand that art (especially if you’re getting back on the horse on your abilities for it) requires practice and starting from the bottom up,

but it doesn’t make it any less vexing when you wanna draw epic interactive scenes when all you can draw at your dropped skill level are the basic chibis…..

I’ll probably sign up for the Woody Plants Seed Workshop at Guelph Arbortetum again this year….. JUST HOPE THEY DONT CANCEL DUE TO NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE SIGNING UP AGAIN!!!!!!!
