4 Spring flowering tree gijinka design concepts/ideas

Cause art is frustrating and CAUSE WORDS WILL DO

Magnolia– largest/tallest/oldest of the four. Good charmer with birds (especially berry-eating birds). Leather/thick fabric petal dress. Very kind Oujo-sama/royal kind of air, despite this occasionally you’ll get these hints of a wild (almost witch-like) side, like she’s seen/been before the time of her christening as a royal. She knows a far more ancient time.

Cercis (aka. Redbed)- Heart-motif dainty tomboy (odd combo I know). Speedy/sporty despite the misfortune of injuring herself a lot due to said speed. Bees REALLY like her, no I don’t just mean honeybees, BEES REALLY LIKE HER, she would probably love leafcutter bees. I imagine she’d wear suspenders.

Malus (aka. Apple)- Country hick. Phyiscally stouter/rounder than the other 3. Wild curly hair that gets so annoyingly tangled when it gets long that she has to cut it a lot. Pink/red/white Plaid, probably a dress or apron. Motherlyish. Probably thinks you should eat more. She finds bees cute and spiders chill but she is terrified of caterpillars. Oriole birds like her.

Asimina (aka. Pawpaw)- tall but not as tall/built as Magnolia, is probably quite lanky. Green with hints of maroon-red clothes that are quite simple/practical and also full of pockets. Shy/aloof compared to the other 3. Probably lives in a woodland cottage. Despite her dark skin she burns from the sun easily. She doesn’t insist/advertise on people eating her baking as Malus does, but her baking has a taste that Malus sometimes gets jealous of and wonders why tf Asmina doesn’t show off her food more.

Wow every day this week has felt like Big Tasks™ day in some form or another and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down in that regards

Let my lethargic lazy ass rest for an entire day plz.

Admittedly a teeeeeny tiiiiiiiiiiiny in-denial part of my brain tries going “things are fine in Canada”[even though to a point they definitely are not]”, the stuff going on elsewhere is nowhere near here” oh so often.

but then I see a goddamn fucking Confederate flag on our route to/from our drive to Guelph, flying oh-so-proudly underneath the Canadian flag. ARE YOU SO SURE ABOUT CANADA BEING UNEFFECTED, TINY PART OF MY BRAIN???

I want to ask if flying such a flag is illegal in this country but I know the answer is probably a very very tragic no…

The more I mentally weigh pros/cons of hot vs cold composting, the more I think some kind of DIY tumbling hot composter may be the best route for me. I’m too lazy to physically fork around a pile to keep the compost hot (and hence weed-free), and cold composting would guarantee my mortal enemy that is the twitch grass (which at this rate of its nastiness, I’m tempted to call “devil’s grass”).

Just need to have dad help me find a biiiiiiig ass barrel to work with.

kihaku-gato:

“you should drill apart that stuff with the drill if dad isn’t on your back“

*literally can’t find either drill or drill bits during the rare time dad isn’t here*

Now I’ve found it (with emailed directional help) but the battery is dead with no battery charger for it in sight

The charge for it only lasted for one screw are you srs

Hard to believe tommorrow’s the bday already… will I be 26 or 27??

Well either way, nice for it to be a Saturday. Idk what we’ll do on that day, probably pot some stuff I guess.

EDIT- I’ll be 27.

Been thinking; “oh, seeding season isn’t so bad. It’s going pretty swiftly and smoothly this year, it’s not that bad” then I learned the missing step that I did not connect as part of the steps; for stuff like this mixed grain you gotta till (?? That’s not the word) the sown seeds in so they dont blow away or get easily eaten in the fields, but during it we have to STONE PICK during the process. Seems my brain repressed that unsavoury step. Still hope this year it doesn’t take too long.
