Please help me! Calling on the plantblr people! I need ID’s for my succulent children. Some of them are doing really well and others not so much. (I didn’t’ post the ones that I know what they are, as those are thriving.) (And the last one is doing better too but I’d still like to know what it is. Leaves were torn when I bought it.) But these babies need help.
The first one is some kind of Aloe, the next is possibly some kind of Graptoveria, little one could be another Graptoveria or Graptopetalum, next is some kind of Kalanchoe probably a flowering Kalanchoe, and then last is another that is either an Aloe or Gasteria.
The top boys look like they may need more light and less water, maybe a better draining soil mix? The Kalanchoe looks fine, maybe somewhat stressed. The last guy could use a repot and i would remove the moss around it, otherwise it looks fine if a bit stretchy.
Some kinds of succulents just can’t get enough light indoors and will stretch no matter what. Yours don’t look so bad really but I can’t tell what their soil mix looks like and their roots could be stressed.
Down in south Texas, the butterfly migrations are in full swing. Thousands of American snouts, red admirals, sulphurs, oranges, patches, hairstreaks, queens, monarchs and more are passing through. Huge clusters of goldeneye (Viguiera dentata) attracted them to this spot in Kinney County; more pictures to come after I’ve had a chance to ID them all.
