Strange Cactus in Kew Gardens that fools you into thinking it’s a jade plant

Although it has areoles and some wicked spines, Quiabentia verticillata from Peru might be mistaken for another type of succulent because of its thick succulent leaves reminiscent of Crassula ovata. In the cactus family, it’s genus is most closely related to the Austrocylindropuntia genus, including the common Eve’s needle cactus.

have tumblr fucked with people’s dashboards again, or have people just started to hate me

my activity have dropped to half, and it’s messing w/ my anxiety hhhh

Maybe on the first, but I highly HIGHLY doubt it’s the second. Could just be because people are getting really busy; students/teachers/professors are probably having to focus on finals before summer holidays knock on the door, while others outside of that may just be outright busy (in my case I’m in the mix of either Busy, Tired, or just overwhelmed by the barrage of great plant posts).

is it annoying or good that my blog spits out a post per hour? my queue is set to 26 post per day hahh

there’s just so many good plants and plant related things out there, but i just realized maybe people think it’s super annoying

As one who also has a queue that some days posts between 5 posts a day to 3 posts per hour, I don’t really find it annoying at all no. It keeps activity on a steady rate and spaces it out so that it doesn’t just barrage people who are scrolling and wanting to see several posts from different people rather than a barrage of posts from one individual all at once (which would happen if I just reblogged everything at once whenever I’m browsing gardening/plant tags- though sometiems it still happens when my queue is filled to the brim but I still wanna share stuff). It’s a good system.

As for tagging if it is a queue or not it all depends on the person. I do it since sometimes I’ve had people trying to grab me for a chat (doesn’t happen often but it does happen occasionally) whenever I’m actively on, and it’s hard for them to do so if the queueing posts aren’t differentiated from the non queued posts. If you find it a hassle don’t tag queue, it’s your blog yo. I’ve worked around the hassle by using xkit but some days I’m not on a browser so I don’t get that luxury so I know how you feel there.
