Speaking of, while I cannot guarantee quality nor can I guarantee that it’ll happen soon, if enough of you request it I may try taking photos of the yard/property despite how…. 3d it is to try to show it all at once (not to mention some gardens have become… very unkempt). Maybe I would do a walk photographing or just a walkaround video maybe even just to encapsulate the mess.

Regardless of whether you want to see all of that or not I still hope to at least photograph/share with you all the new gardens that I worked on / have been maintaining this summer. It’s not much to sneeze at for plant selection but then again I was limited to plants that I could relocate/divide from other gardens.

The more I look at this list, the more I feel this sinking apprehension and dread that I may be severely lacking in seedlingpots / seedling trays / bulb pots. Also, a big need for a lot more potting soil now that I think about it, hooooo boy…..

Oh hey I have some Joe Pye Weed Seeds from 2015 and Blanket Flower from 2016.

………………………….. I wonder if they’d even stay viable for that long with such mediocre seed storage they’ve had. Well, there’s only one way to truly test them out.

Apparently Blackberry lilies are a species that’s warm-germinated and is advised to be sown midwinter indoors??- or maybe not. There’s a bit of contradiction info source to source.

Sometimes I forget that oddities such as Vine-maple (Acer

circinatum) exist and get a little envy that people get to see such specimens thriving in the wild.

Apparently someone from the Stratford Horticultural Society is giving away 2 5ft tall grapefruit trees… can’t commit to such giants but damn that’s one green thumb owner yo.

I thought these Grandpa Otts morning glories died off from this garden years ago. I guess their seeds/seedlings were hiding in the weedier spots away from their original mesh post.

And to wrap up the woodland walk post spam; the loot.

3 Sugar maple leaves, 7 canadian yew berries, and spore filled Christmas fern fronds (which tragically I THINK I’M TOO LATE TO SOW NOW WITH THE CRUSTY STATUS OF THE FRONDS!!!!).

Did not find hopniss vine in this forest (I’m not the least bit surprised though disappointed) but it was still a fun albeit exhausting forest trek.

I’m not super adept at ID of dogwoods (at least ones that aren’t SUPER distinct) but someone informed me that this tol boi is likely Gray Dogwood (Cornus racemosa) the floral form (which btw SHOULD nOT BE FLOWERING IN SEPTEMBER) would give even more implication that it is so.

If it weren’t for this blackspot problems I’d probably take note of these specimens for future seed harvesting, but ah well. Still learned something.
