I’m a little surprised google had no results for “Clematis tangutica herbarium” or “pressed Clematis tangutica”. Like, other species with just-as-small flowers and just-as-much vigor are in herbarium displays, why isn’t this species??? wtf

If you’re a TERF you’re not welcome in this plantblr community. Plants don’t conform to your expectations of gender and people don’t have to either. Bugger off and leave the gardeners/scientists that don’t conform to your expectations of gender/sex be. If you can’t even give others human decency for such dumb reasons then you’re not welcome here at all.

*scratches chin* I have no idea what flowers/leaves to actually have in these considering the size constraints….
Ginkgo and Clematis tangutica are the only things I can think of that’d be small enough while still being very unique…
I’ve finally transplanted 4 different New England Asters into the new garden. They’ll be wilt-sulking for a while but if their grandma parent plant could bounce back from a sulk-transplant from a later time of the autumn year, they can too.
I probably won’t get much feedback, but y’know what? Gonna ask anyways to you of the internet-

Me Who Knows The Consequences of Growing Perennial Sunflowers:

The seed farm I was linked to supposedly resides in Ontario but the plant they’re proudly advertising as native, it isn’t considered native to Ontario by any information I can find

Delphinium exaltatum is not native to Ontario so either you’re wrong or your farm does not reside in Ontario- WHICH ANSWER IS IT-
@boodlesandtonicplz replied to your post “Honestly if this IS the legitimate site and not some trick…. even if…”
I haven’t been able to get it to load at all with my terrible connection, but yes. the hope of fluttery blue butterfly buttercups is enough.
It may not be due to internet connection; I was able to access it through this URL http://new.gardensnorth.com/ and tbh, I don’t think the site is actually running; I really do think this is just a copy.
So sadly, no darling blue native Clematis species for me oTL
