You’re gonna kill it stop

what do you hope to accomplish by pouring milk on that poor little plant

milk is healthey for plants

Can someone check how true this is? Too low on energy to research tonight and all the answers I’ve found are Yahoo answers and junk. I do recall milk being used in plant-watering experiments, but I don’t recall it having any benefits for plants (not to say there aren’t benefits for it’s use in potentially low doses, we just need some conclusive proof here). I would doubt it’d be healthy for plants for the long term if that’s all it was given; plants don’t consume fat, they consume minerals, micronutrients/macronutrients, and sunlight.

Speaking of which are my eyes just tired tonight or does that Peace Lily look a bit too yellow in the laves?

I’ve seen instant milk recommended as a supplement for tomato plants with calcium deficient soils. I do pour leftover milk on my tomatoes occasionally if my little brothers leave some out in their glasses. It’s been a while since I’ve actually read/sourced that advice so I pretty much just do it out of habit (old coffee on the blueberries, too). It probably doesn’t make much of difference as my compost is so loaded with eggshells lol

i’ve used mixtures of milk and yogurt put into a spray bottle to combat plant diseases like powdery mildew on zucchini plants. it seemed to work.

i’ve also heard left over/stale old beer from a party is good for the soil too.

another thing that’s really old in the drafts. I still think this is a crazy idea tbh lol, even if it’s maybe good for the plants I could see the milk making a stink/mess in the long run of things when used like this.
