This morning.
October, first light.
To go with that poem.
Two years ago tomorrow, a morning I shall never forget.
Frozen morning.
Some local forsythias got over-anxious.
I can’t find a picture from when I first got the Madagascar palm, at least 5 years ago, but three years ago when I posted the second picture here, I was excited to see how big it had gotten and amazed it had grown as high as the top of the bottom window frame. I think where you see that little kink or curve in the trunk is how high it was when it was brought here from an elderly relative’s house.
It’s big now and was toppling out of that small pot (which seemed huge when I first put it in there) lately, so I repotted it today in hopes that it will start making leaves at the top again.
Of course they grow to 40 feet high in the wild.

Some wild clouds and wind after last night’s rains.
Post-storm sky over the Pinnacle and Sharp Mountain, sun briefly lighting the Pinnacle face.
