Rock Cap Ferns.
We ventured into a jungle. A wet, humid, lush, and thriving jungle. So dense we could barely move in places. Sections of forest was covered in ferns, high as my waist. I walked barefoot, through vines of briers and holly leaves lined with needles. I think parts of this day could be defined as misery. But, through it all, there is beauty. Beauty beyond my words. There is such satisfaction in pushing yourself beyond your “limits”… outside of what is convenient or comfortable.

Hazelnut and catkins!
In the pines, in the pines.
Butterflies on sweet peas. ❤
Love these moss roses so much! ❤
The sky isn’t happy, but I am.
Happy lichen! ❤
Sleeping under the stars, high elevation, and clear skies. It was so cold, I felt like I nearly froze in the night. Waking up in the mountains, surrounded by colorful autumn leaves and evergreens… makes it all worth while.
