Summer apples have fully ripened – which is the moment I stop liking them, I feel like they have very little flavor compared to late-season ones.
They are so perfect and light colored though, I had a hard time focusing the camera on one of them.

I have been busy with uni this past month and haven’t been in the garden or orchard at all during that time. It has also been raining almost daily for just as long, so being free wouldn’t have matter much anyway. I’ve never seen so much rain before. It also means that no weeding or grass cutting has been done. This is how the orchard looks now and the garden is no better.
The Japanese strawberry is growing so fast: in two months it went from barely visible in a tiny cup, to overflowing a 10 L pot.
You can see some of the flowers on it starting to turn into berries.
So is it a species of Rubrus? if so what species botanical? I definitely know it can’t be a Strawberry/Raspberry hybrid (though they do exist)
Berries situation in the garden at home: strawberries, gooseberries, cranberries, blackberries, white currants, red currants and tayberries.
Too young to fruit (and not pictured): blueberry, honeyberry, yellow raspberry, orange raspberry and strawberry raspberry.
The man who usually cuts the grass at the orchard told us he’s too busy this month, so he’ll most likely take his cows there for few days to do the job for him (like he sometimes does) and I remembered about these pictures from a few years ago. Someone’s going to be super happy, because she loves cows.
