My Kalanchoe tubiflora monstrose baby is steadily growing up! I grew it from a 2-3mm small baby that I plucked from the mum 😍
Monstrose form of this Kalanchoe don’t produce pups, but some parts on the mother reverted to the regular form and produced nubs. That was how I managed to get pups from her. So glad the pups remain monstrose! This is the first and hence biggest pup I’ve gotten from the mum. I only have 2 other pups, and those are small; they grew to about 5mm so far.

Finished the Season of She-Ra the netflix series.
First off; AWESOME!
Second off; WOW I EVEN LOVE THE VILLAINS!!!!
Thirdly; DEAR GOD MY HEART’S BEEN TORN APART IN MULTIPLE WAYS WHYZ
It’s fairly rare in southern Ohio, or rather near Cincinnati, so when offered an opportunity to visit a site with these as well as a number of other fen species, a botanist has to do what a botanist has to do.
When I arrived to this site I couldn’t help myself to have a look around, unfortunately a pop up squall put us on a thunder alert and we had to evacuate the site. With that said I did take these two photos of a classic fen species, I also found myself gawking a bit at the sheer number of these goldenrod inhabiting one spot.

Look at the funky pattern on this newly unfolded leaf!! This is my first Alocasia sanderiana, it almost died when I had to leave it home alone for the hurricane, so happy to see new growth! Progress! 🌱
