Rescued some orchids from my therapist’s office building (with the owner’s consent)
I brought them home, explaining to them during the car ride that they were coming to a new home, where I will care for them and hopefully they’ll be much happier. Once home, I removed them from their sad, cramped little pots, gave them a good soak and transferred them into their new homes. I put one in an orchid bark mix and the other two in a water culture dish, sprayed them down with some orchid food spray and named them.
The one in the bark planter is Wilbur.
The two in the water culture are Frogmore and Orcus.
this lil babe surprised me with a flower this morning as i went to water it!
i have managed to kill at least five african violets, so i haven’t had much hope with this one. frankly, i assumed i would never find out which one of them was the survivor as i thought it would die before blooming again
good to know at least this one enjoy sitting in a west facing window directly over a broken radiator that goes on full warmth 24/7..!
Removed this living stone from the water therapy experiment! Look at how plump he got! Not sure how the roots will develop now he’s back in soil but even if the roots die, at least he’s stronger again
Tiny dwarf umbrella tree, beside my sweet fishy girl’s tank 💚🖤
I love them all! I’ve recently found myself out of a horrible rut; I feel like my soul is free & im so happy. In my rut I let all my plants die, and I wanted to start fresh.
Guys, I planted some jackfruit seeds some number of weeks ago, not really expecting them to do anything, but they sprouted! The avocado hasn’t yet, but it’s got time. It’ll be interesting to see how these guys do as houseplants.
