akko-chan:

Alright guys, so. Here’s the deal.

If you’ve been following me a while you know I’ve been having all sorts of ups and downs. Long story short- I’m currently unemployed and without medical (but I did just register for college- huzzah! Thanks FAFSA), I’ve done all the precautions but now I’m trying to take things into my own hands.

That being said I’m looking at the community here on tumblr. I’m not asking for much, just a coffee. In exchange tell me what it is you want me to draw (or write!)- and I’ll do it with 110% of my artistic ability. It’s the anxiety I have to do my best.

I do not want free coffees. I wish to work for my earn.

As of right now I’m going to be sticking to the artist code and be completely open with requests. If I get uncomfortable with anything this may be updated.

You can find my art blog: Here.

And my DeviantArt: Here.

And of course, my Ko-Fi: Here.

Please share around if you’re willing, and thank you for your time!

At what point should you bring in succulents from the cold generally? It gets to 40s-50 at the lowest for me in the winter.

succygirl:

It depends on the type! There are some that can’t handle going down to the 40′s so those should be brought in before those temperatures, but others are perfectly fine even down to 32F or lower. Generally Sedum and Sempervivum, and even some agave if kept dry, can stand being down well below freezing and even be snowed in and come out fine. So if you know what kinds you have you can check their cold hardiness online and make a note of it.

For me in winter (Zone 10b) it gets to the low 40s and very occasionally down to the lower 30′s at night. I haven’t brought any of my succulents inside (most are Echeveria, some Kalanchoes, Agave, Sedums, Senecios, Graptos, and Crassulas) but if I owned a Lithops that would definitely be inside as they can’t handing going below 40F (and they can’t handle all this rain we’ve been getting either!)
