Dug up a cucamelon (Melothria scabra) planter and was happy to find that they had produced a bunch of healthy-looking tubers!
I’m not 100% sure how you’re supposed to store them, but I put them in paper shopping bags and stashed them in the garage so I can hopefully get a head start next spring and a larger harvest!
My last two sales have fallen flat on their faces. So I’m having another which is essentially buy one get one of the same price for free, since that wasn’t exactly a way to set up a sale technically isn’t 50% off your order why you buy 2 or more paintings or prints.
The sale will last through Monday and many items have free shipping too!
And if there’s a private purchase for something you’ve seen on my blog but not on my etsy, please feel free to message me. Those sales can be done through PayPal.
There’s always a bit of history with Pileas and the metric ton of pups, they produce. If you own one of these, you’re almost obligated to share a cutting or 30 with friends, family and neighbors.
I got this plant as a smallish cutting 3 years ago from my mom. Since then it has produced around 60 little pups. I wonder how many grandchildren and great grandchildren it has now.
