Wheat is best crop imo

hottest take: the bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) is the best crop because it was carried over the bering land bridge (or coast) into america by the first human colonists who used them to carry water and store stuff and we know that they were carried over this way because today’s bottle gourds are most closely related to the bottle gourd populations in northeastern asia where the crossing was and they were already domesticated and important when maize and wheat were first domesticated 10,000 years ago and therefore are balling on all modern crops

i’ve had a lot of people ask if im on x other platform and to be clear, i’m not leaving tungle- i’m gonna be here until the very end, bitch- but i am in the process of porting all my content here over to a new wordpress blog (which by the way is a 𝓭𝓸𝓽 𝓬𝓸𝓶 address, like a Real Science Communicator Adult ™, how fucking wild is that) and linking my blog up to it, which tbh seems to be a good choice, anyway, seeing as i’m kind of considering the whole ‘communicating things as maybe a possible career choice’ thing and really considering the whole ‘writing a book just of humorous plant essays’ thing. it’s taking a bit to load up all my posts (there are….many) but i’ll post the link here when it’s all ready.

eyyy this is still happening but because wordpress is taking on a huge amount of people jumping ship from tumblr shit is really backed up
