Top two very bad ideas that I’m having to use all my willpower to resist;

  • Trek peoples’ woodlots without permission.
  • Trek woodlots very well known for their heavy populations of poison ivy

Thanks to dad I got one of the two different properties’ owners’ phone numbers so I can call and ask permission myself rather than depend on family to ask for me.

Means that this week I’ll probably act on the second very bad idea; aka. going to the most poison ivy infested woodlot/forest in this sector of the rurals.

Apios americana does tend to like the same areas as poison ivy (at least in my unfortunate experience) so perhaps you’ll finally find some.

The poison Ivy is so prolific in the forest in question that the last time I trekked in there I was forced to stay on the vehicle trails cause the poison ivy carpeted left and right of the path (and then I was stopped from waist high poison ivy blocking one of the main pahts). So…. here’s to hoping. Cause gd I’ll be feeling hyperaware/paranoid once I get into that forest, especially if I dare to cross any of the poison-ivy locked blocks.
