Grew these walnut trees out from seed. The seeds took quite a while to sprout. Months if I recall correctly. I believe it was last spring that I planted the seeds so this is a little less than a year of growth.

The trees all show they have vigorous tap roots. If you look closely you can see the tap roots bending at a right angle when they reached the bottom of the pot.

I potted up the trees into 15 gallon pots. The roots look so vigorous that I imagine the trees need to get in the ground soon!
