(and don’t come and tell me about your outdoor cats that lived above 5 years. I had a barncat that lived up to 15 years. It’s called outlier of the average majority)

Many cats don’t mind going for walks on a leash – you just have to let them direct the adventure.

We also have a sort of “cat run ” (kinda like a dog run) that we sometimes put ours on while we’re outside.

This allows them the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while keeping them safe.

I mean, we don’t let our dogs just run free!

And if you’re going to take your cat out on a leash or in a run, make sure they are current on immunizations and preventatives.  Lots of nasty things live in the ground that can harm your cat.
